SiteHaul is a Mac app by Social Impact Ltd. The short version: the app runs entirely on your own machine and uploads nothing. This policy explains the little data that the app and this website do touch.
The app
SiteHaul has no account and no analytics. Your captured screenshots, exports, and your license file are written to folders on your Mac and are never sent to us. The app only reaches the internet to (1) fetch the websites you ask it to capture, (2) check for updates, and (3) validate a license key you choose to enter, which is sent to our payments provider, Polar, to register the activation. Nothing else leaves your machine.
This website
sitehaul.app uses Vercel Web Analytics, which is cookieless: it records aggregate page views and events (such as a download click) without cookies, without cross-site tracking, and without building a profile of you. There's nothing here to log into.
When we run advertising, this website also loads Google's advertising tag, so we can tell whether an ad led to a download or a purchase. It is never sent your name, your email address, or any payment details.
In the UK, the EEA and Switzerland it sets no advertising cookies. We use Google's consent mode with everything denied by default in those regions, so nothing is stored on your device and Google estimates the results instead. We would rather do that than put a cookie banner in front of you. Elsewhere the tag works normally and does set cookies; you can turn that off in Google's own ad settings, and any content blocker will stop it loading at all.
The app is separate. SiteHaul on your Mac has no analytics and no advertising tags of any kind. Nothing about the sites you capture is sent anywhere, whatever this website does.
Purchases
Payments are handled by Polar, our merchant of record. They collect the details needed to take payment and email your license key. We never see your card. We receive your email address, order, and license details from them so we can provide the license and support. See Polar's own privacy policy for how they handle payment data.
Your choices & contact
Because the app stores everything locally, you control it: delete a run's folder and it's gone. For anything else, or to ask what order data we hold, email hello@sitehaul.app.
